What is NVIDIA RTX Spark?

RTX Spark is NVIDIA's chip for Windows laptops and compact desktops. It puts an NVIDIA RTX graphics processor and an NVIDIA CPU in a single processor, built to run AI on the device itself.

An RTX Spark processor on a circuit board
  • One chip, two engines

An NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and an NVIDIA Grace CPU work together in one processor.

  • Built for AI

Fifth-generation Tensor Cores speed up AI tasks, and NVIDIA's CUDA software runs natively.

  • Unified memory

The CPU cores and the integrated RTX GPU work from unified memory, up to 128GB, so large AI models and 3D scenes can fit in memory.

  • AI on your own laptop

Run AI models on the device, with no per-prompt fees. Cloud services stay optional.

  • Up to6,144RTX GPU cores
  • Up to20Grace CPU cores
  • Up to128GBunified memory

NVIDIA RTX Spark questions

What is NVIDIA RTX Spark?

RTX Spark is NVIDIA's chip for Windows laptops and compact desktops. It puts an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and an NVIDIA Grace CPU in a single processor with unified memory, so the laptop can run AI models, creative apps and games on the device itself.

What is unified memory, and how much do I need?

On RTX Spark the CPU cores and the integrated RTX GPU work from unified memory, up to 128GB depending on the laptop. More memory lets bigger AI models and larger creative projects fit in memory. How much a given AI model needs depends on the model and its settings, so check the requirements of the tools you plan to use. If you mainly use AI features inside everyday apps, you may not need the largest configuration.

What is the difference between the three MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI+ models?

All three have the same NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X chip with a 6,144-core GPU and a 20-core CPU. C1XMT-222SG has 128GB of memory, a 2TB SSD and a UHD+ Tandem OLED display. C1XMT-223SG has 64GB and a 1TB SSD, and C1XMT-224SG has 32GB and a 1TB SSD. Both of those have a 2.8K OLED (2880 x 1800) display. All three displays run at 120Hz.

Can I run AI on the laptop without using the cloud?

Yes. You can run AI models and agents locally on RTX Spark, and generate images and video on the device, with no per-prompt fees. Some apps still rely on online services, so check how the app you choose works.

Will my existing Windows apps work on an RTX Spark laptop?

RTX Spark laptops run Windows 11 on an Arm-based processor. Apps built for Arm run natively, and many other Windows apps run through Windows' built-in emulation, but compatibility depends on the app. If you rely on specialist software, games or older devices that need their own drivers, check with the software or device maker first.

Do I need an RTX Spark laptop for everyday use?

Not for everyday tasks. Browsing, documents, video calls and streaming run well on many laptops. RTX Spark is aimed at people who run AI models locally, edit high-resolution video, work in 3D or develop AI software.

Are RTX Spark laptops available now or on pre-order?

Some RTX Spark laptops are sold on pre-order before stock arrives. The product cards on this page show when a model is on pre-order, and each product page shows its current delivery date.

What warranty comes with these laptops?

Each product page lists the manufacturer warranty for that model.
